(Cass Co.) The Cass County Board of Supervisors held a special meeting this morning.
The first item of business was to rescind the Medical Examiner Fees set during the January 2nd board meeting and approve a new resolution setting those fees for 2026.
It was noted that these numbers came together after surveying what is going on around the state.
The Supervisors also discussed creating an Executive Assistant to the Board position.
Board Chair Steve Baier said this would not be a secretary to the board type of position, HR would be a big part of it. The board approved a motion to create the position and authorized the chair to move forward with advertising it.
