Atlantic Swimmer Hunter Quist Proving “Hard Work Pays Off”
(Atlantic) Atlantic senior swimmer Hunter Quist is reaping the fruits of his labor so far this season.
Quist has been working overtime to achieve his goal of making it to the State Swim Meet in Iowa City in March. Quist wrapped up his junior season with the Atlantic High School Swim Team and started swimming with the Central Iowa Aquatics squad. This season, Quist has broken school records in the 50-Yard Freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, and 200 IM.
Quist admits the extra time in the pool has improved his technique and his conditioning.
Quist started swimming at a very young age, spending countless hours in the pool and gradually building strong skills and a love for the sport.
Hunter is uncertain about the future of his swimming career. He has not yet decided whether he will swim in college or pursue a trade school, but no matter which path he chooses, his dedication to being his best will carry over into everything he does.
