(Anita, IA) — The CAM Boys basketball team wrapped up December with a 2-3 record, both wins coming in the form of conference match-ups against Ar-We-Va and Exira-EHK. In those wins, the Cougars learned a lot about themselves as they began to find great success on offense. Head Coach Ian Hunt likes the competitiveness his team shows this year:
Collin Bower, a senior who’s on pace to score 1000 career points, has made his presence known in the post with 16 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. The team also gets a lot of production from their junior class; Kayden Winther had five 3’s against Ar-We-Va on nine attempts and Braxton Dennis is averaging just under 10 points a night. Hunt says the team’s strengths really prevailed against Ar-We-Va and Exira-EHK:
Hunt says the team will look to improve on reading defenses heading into January:
The CAM boys end their break on January 3rd visiting the Boyer Valley Bulldogs.
