(Red Oak) The Compensation Board released its salary recommendations for the elected officials at Tuesday morning’s Montgomery County Board of Supervisors’ meeting.
The recommendations included a 6.25-percent salary increase for the Sheriff, a 3.25-percent increase for supervisors, a 3-percent increase for the Auditor, a 6-percent increase for the Treasurer and Recorder, and a 10-percent increase for the Attorney.
The supervisors then went into a lengthy discussion on the recommendation. Bryant Amos suggested a three percent across-the-board increase, with a zero percent increase for the board of supervisors.
The Supervisors then decided, for budgetary purposes, to approve a 10-percent salary increase for the County Attorney, a 6.25-percent salary increase for the Sheriff, no increase for the County Board of Supervisors, and a 3-percent increase for the Auditor, Treasurer, and Recorder.
