(WIC Tournament) Riverside landed seven wrestlers in the finals and came away with four champions and captured the team title with 242 points on Saturday at the Western Iowa Conference Tournament. Logan-Magnolia finished a close second with 228 points, with eight wrestlers in the championship matches, with four champions.
Leading the way for the Bulldogs were class winners, Drew Anderson, (138), Jaxon Gordon, (165), Max Shanno, (175), and Gene Hackett, (190). Second place performances shown by Colton Hering (106), Jack Branan, (157), and Jackson Allen, (215).
Landon Thayer at (106), Crosby Yoder, (126), Max Wingert, (144), and Carson Edney, (215) claimed individual titles for Logan-Magnolia. Brodie Johnson, (113), Noah Archibald, (120), Wade Hawkins, (150), and Tyson Jenkins, (190), finished in second place.
Underwood placed five wrestlers in the finals. Ryan Fletcher, (132), and River Allen, (157) won titles. Jace Blum, (144), Kaleb Nelson, (175), and Holden Durick, (165) finished second.
Missouri Valley placed three in the finals, Hunter Hussing, (113) brought home the gold, Owen Beccera, (126), and Luke Schroeder, (138) each finished second.
Leyton Elmquist won the title at (120) for Audubon.
Treynor landed two in the finals. Cael Walton, (132), and Maverrick Kalb, (285), each finished second.
Roman Scheffler won the (285) weight class for AHSTW.
