(Greenfield) The Adair County Compensation Board presented salary recommendations to the Adair County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday for the 2027 fiscal year.
According to County Auditor Mandy Berg, the compensation board recommended a 4-percent salary increase for all elected officials. This includes the Sheriff, Auditor, Recorder, Treasurer, supervisors, and county attorney. Additionally, the compensation board recommended an additional $2,500 to the county attorney’s salary to bring her stipend up to date with surrounding counties.
County Compensation boards are composed of seven members who are residents of their respective counties.
*Two members are appointed by the board of supervisors
*Each of the following county officers chooses one member: the county auditor, treasurer, attorney, recorder, and county sheriff.
The Adair County Supervisors did not act on the compensation board’s recommendation. They will wait until they see the entire budget.
