(Carroll) The Atlantic boy’s wrestling team stays undefeated with wins over Lewis Central, and Kuemper in a triangular at Kuemper on Thursday.
The Trojans jumped out to a fast start, winning five of the first six matches. Dayton Van Horne (106) earned a technical fall, while Keaton Schroeder (120), Hunter Kinzie (126), Braxton Hass (132), and Landon Hagen (138) each won by fall. Adin Iverson of Lewis Central picked up a forfeit at 113, leaving the Trojans with a 29–6 lead.
Lewis Central trimmed the margin to 29–15, as Mandius Volentine (144) posted a technical fall and Owen Duffek (150) added a major decision. The Trojans answered back with Jayden Harter (157) and Dreven Smith (165), followed by pins to extend the Trojans’ run and a 41-15 advantage.
Brody Burrows halted the streak with a decision for Lewis Central, but Donovan Hedrington (190) and Travin Thomas (215) delivered back-to-back falls to give Atlantic a 53–18 lead heading into the final bout. Cooper Woolsey (285) closed out the dual with a pin, sealing a 59–18 Trojans victory.

The Trojans carried their momentum into the second dual against Kuemper, sweeping all 13 contested matches for a 78–0 victory. The teams double-forfeited at 106 pounds.

Garrett Bills (132) and Koltin Volentine (165) earned victories by technical fall, while Mandius Volentine (144), Owen Duffek (150), Brody Burrows (175), and Alex Graeve (190) all won by pin. Isaac Bates (157) also contributed to the team total.
Kuemper’s points came from Beckett Wernimont, who won by decision, and Maguire Hoyt (138), who secured a victory by pin.
