(Griswold, IA) — Griswold girls basketball had just 6 wins the last two seasons in a row but they are already halfway to that total this season. The Tigers are 3-2 after Tuesday’s 48-40 win over Sidney. Head Coach Aaron Houser believes the win over the Cowgirls was their best played and most complete game played to date this season
Griswold has to overcome injuries to their inside players — their only Senior Josie Millikan has been out of the line up and Houser says her replacement went down as well
Junior Amanda Houser continues to handle the ball the majority of the time and leads the team in scoring. Juniors Carsyn Adams, Bristol Wyman and Sadie Gohlinghorst have been contributing but Houser says they also continue to get bitten by the turnover bug
Houser says he will focus on taking care of the basketball during the winter break — the Tigers final game before Christmas is tonight against 5-1 Southwest Valley.
