(Red Oak) The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports that business owners of ESB Construction, located at 2154 Hickory Avenue in Red Oak, discovered an individual unlawfully inside one of their work vehicles. The business owner confronted the suspect and immediately contacted law enforcement.
Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody without incident. The defendant was transported to the Montgomery County Corrections Facility, where he was booked and held on full bond.
The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Matthew Lawrence Magers of Council Bluffs. He was charged with third-degree burglary, a Class D felony.
