(Atlantic) Gavin McLaren is this week’s KS 95.7 Armour Insurance Trojan Athlete of the week for his performances last week in wins over Clarinda and Creston.
The senior forward scored twenty points against Clarinda on Tuesday and against Creston on Friday.
McLaren had a terrific first quarter for the Trojans with 11 of the team’s 15 points.
The Trojans followed with a 50-42 win over Creston on Friday night. Four players finished in double figures to lead Atlantic. McLaren led the Trojans with 13 points, while both Gage Gross and Sawyer Tarrell contributed 12 points each, hitting three and four three-pointers, respectively. Kale Jensen, 11, and Corbin Ritter chipped in 2.
Gavin is averaging 13 points per game and six rebounds per contest. The Trojans, now 2-2 on the season, host Kuemper on Tuesday night.
