(Crawford County) One person died in a two-vehicle crash in Crawford County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday on Boyer Valley Boulevard North of G Avenue. Authorities say 73-year-old Richard Healy of Vail, Iowa died in the crash.
According to the report, a 15-year-old male juvenile was driving a southbound 2015 Chevy Silverado pickup, while Healy was operating a northbound 2002 Chevy Silverado pickup. The juvenile was traveling behind an unrelated vehicle and experienced limited visibility due to snow and gravel. The vehicles collided driver’s side to driver’s side. Healy’s pickup came to rest in the east ditch, and the juvenile’s pickup remained on the roadway. State Patrol evidence indicated that the 2015 pickup was left of center.
The Huedner Funeral Home transported Mr. Healy to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
