Rhule first sent defensive coordinator John Butler packing, followed by firing offensive line coach Donovan Raiola and defensive line coach Terry Bradden. Rhule has yet to find a suitable candidate for the D-line, but he announced the hiring of Rob Aurich and Geep Wade for defensive coordinator and o-line coach, respectively. The new hires will surely have their hands full against Utah, a team that ended 3rd in the Big 12 and lost only to BYU and Texas Tech. Rhule says Utah will be a great challenge for the Huskers:
The SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl is set to kickoff on New Year’s Eve at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
