(Guthrie Center, IA) — Elderbridge Agency on Aging asked the Guthrie County Supervisors for a little more money in the upcoming budget. The Agency works to provide seniors more independent living in their homes but their funding has taken a hit recently — Sandra Jackson of Elderbridge
Jackson says that Guthrie County seniors benefit from services such as home delivered meals and homemaker and personal care plus long term care as well. Jackson requested about $1,000 in additional funds for the upcoming year to offset state and federal funding cuts
Supervisor Chair Maggie Armstrong did not commit to approve the increase but said they would heavily consider it during the budgeting process.
