(Avoca, IA) — After relying on Luke Sternberg the last few seasons, AHSTW Boys Basketball will have to turn elsewhere this season. Sternberg and his 18 points a game has graduated so the Vikings will look at Senior Colin Harder to lead. He averaged 14.4 ppg last year in a season that started a little late because of injury but Head Coach GG Harris says he is ready to go and ready to lead
The Vikings will have to start the season without Senior Center Kaden Jorgensen (6.0 ppg, 7.5 rbg) who has is still recovering from a football injury. That means AHSTW’s focus will be more outside than inside to start with
Dayton Osbahr (3.7 ppg) is a Sophomore who has great potential that never got on track last season because of injuries; Senior Drew Lee (2.4 ppg) will be a crucial guard who needs to shoot more; Senior Ty Nelson will get more minutes; and Harris is excited to see what Colin’s brother Sophomore Evan Harder can do
AHSTW will open their season tonight at Underwood.
