(Oakland, IA) — Riverside’s Boys Wrestling team will open their season tonight. The Bulldogs lose 6 seniors including 4 who made it to the state tournament last year but return the runner up at 132 pounds Junior Drew Anderson who went 36-4 overall. There is also Junior Kingston Corrigan who went 30-12, made it to state but went 0-2. Head Coach Casey Conover says Kingston is motivated this year
Riverside also returns Seniors Jack Branan (27-23), Gaven Hackett (18-22), Jackson Allen (9-18) who are expected to improve plus Senior Jaxon Gordon (30-3) who expected to get on the medal stand last year but fell short at 2-2 but Conover believes he will turn that around
The Bulldogs will look for more from Sophomores Colton Hering (13-20), Maxx Danker (5-11) and Keegan Taylor
Riverside will open their season tonight at Underwood in a Triangular with Glenwood.
