(Red Oak) A Nebraska man, listed on the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry, faces additional charges in Montgomery County.
Red Oak Police arrested 22-year-old Jauson Ray Schriner of Adams, Nebraska, following an investigation into his suspicious activities. He allegedly posed as a 20-year-old while staying with a minor child and provided officers with a false name in the inquiry. Authorities later confirmed Schriner’s identity and discovered he was wanted for a probation violation stemming from a previous conviction for attempting to engage in sexual acts with a 13-year-old by posing online as a teenager. He has been arrested on charges including grooming (a Class D Felony), Providing False Identification to Law Enforcement (a Simple Misdemeanor), and Fugitive from Justice, with more charges pending.
On Tuesday, authorities filed additional charges against Shriner. Those charges include Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse and 3rd-Degree Sexual Abuse. Schriner remains in the Montgomery County Jail on a $7,000 bond before these additional charges.
