(Des Moines County) One person died, and another person sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Des Moines County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened just after 2:00 a.m. on Highway 34 near the 255-mile marker. Authorities have not released the names of the victims.
According to the report, a 2002 Chevy S-10 traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes crashed head-on into a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. The pickup driver was ejected from the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
