(Des Moines, IA) — The Iowa State Patrol is reporting a busy weekend on the roadways as troopers dealt with the winter storm across the state. There were over 850 calls for service between noon on Friday and noon on Sunday, including more than 200 crashes. The state patrol says 20 of those wrecks involved injuries, but luckily, there were no fatalities. Flights were also grounded at Des Moines International Airport for over 12 hours after a plane slid off a runway on Saturday night.
