(Poweshiek Co.) A pedestrian was killed on I-80 in Poweshiek County.
The accident happened at 5:11 a.m. Tuesday. The Iowa State Patrol says 36-year-old Nicholas Andrews Quintero, of Toledo, Ohio, was in the number 2 lane of I-80 westbound near the 202 mile marker for unknown reasons. Quintero was struck by an unknown vehicle whose driver may not have realized they hit a pedestrian.
The accident remains under investigation.
