(Elk Horn, IA) — Exira EHK Boys Basketball will have a new Head Coach for the upcoming season but its a familiar face — Jackson Radcliff only graduated from the school two years ago and will lead the Spartans in 2025-26. Gone are Josh Nelson and Cannon Hansen who were both starters so it will be up to Senior Austin Rasmussen (11.7 ppg) who Radcliff believes has the ability to be a number one scorer. There is also Senior Owen Juhl who plays good defense and Bryce Brabham who is an incredible athlete
Radcliff believes the offense will come but he considers himself a defensive minded coach
Sophomore Blake Nelson will be a starter as well for the Spartans, Junior Cooper Paulsen will be in the rotation and Junior Anthony Young provides some size. Radcliff expects to use a 7 man rotation at least to start. He is currently taking college courses online and is excited about the opportunity to be a head coach for the first time
Exira EHK opens their season tonight against Riverside.
