(Atlantic) The Atlantic boys’ wrestling team returns a strong core of talented performers, who were instrumental in securing the Hawkeye Ten Conference Wrestling Tournament title last year. The Trojans return 13 letterwinners and four state qualifiers.
Atlantic Head Coach Tim Duff says the thirteen returning letterwinners are a significant number for the program.
The team is led by three seniors, Braxton Hass, Donovan Hedrington, and D’Artagnan Hansen.
Three-year letterwinner, Braxton Hass, is a two-time state qualifier with a career record of 117-47.
Donovan Hedrington is a three-year letterwinner with a career record of 81 wins and 41 losses. He won 44 matches last year and qualified for the state wrestling tournament.
D’Artagnan Hansen is a three-time letterwinner. Coach Duff says Hansen joined the varsity lineup full-time as a freshman; however, in the past couple of years, he has faced tough competition in the room.
The Trojans have a talented junior class. We will highlight this group of returning letterwinners and state qualifiers tomorrow.
