(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board held their final meeting of the retiring board and organizational meeting of the new board Tuesday evening.
Outgoing board member Kristy Pellett was recognized for her 18-years of service. Laura McLean said Pellett has left a tremendous legacy for the district.

Pellett thanked the community and the district, each of the past and current board members, Superintendents, administrators, and staff.
New board member Chet Meneely was sworn in. The board elected Josh McLaren as Board President and Gini Jordan as Vice President. Lisa Jones was appointed Board Treasurer and Board Secretary.
The school board will meet the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
In other action, the board approved a new vocal music teacher to begin next semester, approved an out of state swim meet for December 4th, approved the FY25 Depository Statement, and approved the County Auditor’s Official report of the election results.
