(Area) — The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has released the All State Volleyball Teams for the 2025 season. In Class 2A, Riverside had three players honored: Senior Bentley Rone was named 2nd team All State and Juniors Sophia Fenner and Sydney Somers were named 3rd team All State. Rone had 182 kills, 474 assists, 192 digs, 30 blocks and 57 aces. Fenner played libero and had 259 digs plus 34 aces and had a 95.3 serve efficiency rate. Somers led the Bulldogs with 294 kills plus 209 digs, 34 blocks and 46 aces.
Also in 2A, Treynor had two players honored — Senior Nora Kunz of Treynor is 2nd Team All State and Senior Rylee Hemmingsen is 4th Team All State. Junior Stella Largent of AC/GC is 3rd Team All State.
In Class 4A, Senior Aubree Davis from Lewis Central got 1st Team and Senior Kaylee Wray from Glenwood was 3rd Team All State.
Red Oak made it to the state tournament and two players were named All State in Class 3A — Senior Jocelyn O’Neal was a First Team selection and Senior Emily Sebeniecher was a 3rd Team selection. Kuemper Catholic made it to the semifinals at state and Senior Kaylie Simmons was 2nd Team and Elsa Tiefenhaler was named 3rd Team. Sophomore Miley Wagoner of Clarinda was a 4th Team selection in Class 3A.
in Class 1A, Senior Malia Clayburg of Coon Rapids Bayard was named 3rd Team All State and Junior Brooklyn Rutledge of St. Albert was a 4th Team All State selection.
Bailey Boeve of Hinton was named the Volleyball Player of the Year — the Senior had 419 kills, 209 digs, 40 blocks, and 35 aces leading the Blackhawks to the 2A state title game where they lost to Denver in five sets. Boeve owns the single season, single game and career kills records for Hinton and has committed to play volleyball at Creighton.
