(Des Moines, IA) — Triple A is projecting record travel for the Thanksgiving holiday period this year.
The club says nearly 82-million Americans will be going at least 50 miles from home between Tuesday and December 1st, an increase of roughly one-and-a-half percent from last year. That includes nearly six-million travelers from Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota who will be taking a trip by car.
Another 300-thousand people from the region are expected to travel by plane.
