One experiment at Iowa State University sent groups of students out on campus for 12 minutes, with one group assigned to mentally wish that everyone they see has a good day….
That’s Iowa State University Psychology Professor Douglas Gentile. He says conversely, the group assigned to spend 12 minutes thinking about how they were better off than others ended up feeling worse.
