(Undated) — A doctor is giving some advice on how to try and avoid back pain from raking the leaves.
Trishul Kapoor, a pain medicine specialist at the Cleveland Clinic recommends stretching prior to raking, wearing clothes that give long range and bending the knees to allow for short strokes.
He says neck, back and shoulder injuries seem to be most common when it comes to raking leaves. He recommends taking breaks or stopping for the day if experiencing pain or discomfort.
