(Council Bluffs) An Omaha, Nebraska, woman died when she was struck by a vehicle in Council Bluffs.
The preliminary investigation reveals that 47-year-old Heidi Divis was crossing Kanesville northbound against the walk signal and was struck by a 2009 eastbound Kia Sportage driven by 72-year-old Dennis Stark of Council Bluffs.
According to the report, Stark was eastbound through the intersection with a yellow light when he struck Ms. Divis. Authorities say Stark was showing signs of impairment, and a search warrant was granted for his blood.
The case remains under investigation, and updates will be released as they become available.
