(Greene County) Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Greene County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Wednesday on Apple Avenue and N58 near 320th Street. Authorities identified the injured persons as 41-year-old Curtis John Hofbauer Jr., 76-year-old Curtis John Hofbauer Sr., and 34-year-old Robert Edward Everett III, all of Coon Rapids.
According to the report, a 2020 Jeep Compass driven by Robert Everett III was traveling southbound on Apple Avenue, just south of 320th Street, when, for unknown reasons, it crossed the centerline and struck a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country head-on, northbound, driven by Curtis John Hofbauer Jr. The collision caused both vehicles to overturn.
Carroll ambulance transported Curtis John Hofbauer Jr. and Robert Edward Everett III to St. Anthony Hospital. Mercy One transported Curtis John Hofbauer Sr. to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
