(Atlantic) Katina Williams and Mason Betts are KS 95.7’s Armour Insurance Trojan Athletes of the week, for qualifying for the State Cross Country meet last week.
Both Williams and Betts ran personal bests at the state qualifying meet at the Iowa State University Cross Country Course last week. Betts finished 11th overall, making the top 15 qualifiers. Betts ran a personal best of 16.19, and Williams ran a personal best in a time of 20:52.00.
Mason Betts, first year out for cross country, did not expect to make it this far.
The duo will compete in the Class 3A field at Fort Dodge on Friday, October 31. Williams will run at 2:00 p.m., and Betts will compete in the Class 3A Race at 2:45.
