(Elk Horn, IA) — For the 2nd year in a row, Exira EHK got the very last playoff spot in 8 Man and that means a tough opponent in the first round — the Spartans will have to go to undefeated Woodbine.
Exira EHK was banged up last week so Blake Nelson at QB, Josten Kilworth was at RB. However, Preston White will be able to return this week and go back to Tight End. That means Josten Kilworth will go back to QB and Bryce Brabham will either play running back or line up in the wing depending on RB Allen Olson who will be a game time decision.
Regardless of who lines up where, if the Spartans are going to upset the Tigers, it will come down to Kilworth and Brabham to do the damage — Spartans Head Coach Drew Buckholdt
Woodbine has the complete package — the most points they have allowed in a single game this season is 12 against Fremont Mills. They have only allowed 49 points all season. The fewest amount of points they have scored in a game is 52. The Tigers have 1,563 passing yards and 957 rushing yards. Buckholdt says they are extremely balanced
Landon Blum is Woodbine’s most explosive player with 33 catches for 649 yards and 16 TD. Exira EHK will have to control the line of scrimmage and that comes down to Gus Greving, Jack Lassek and Anthony Young
Exira EHK is 4-4, #4 Woodbine is 7-0
