Iowa State Patrol Investigation: Fremont County Crash

(Sidney) One person suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Fremont County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Tuesday morning on 2700 Knox Road in Sidney. Authorities say 51-year-old Sergio Contreras of Sidney was airlifted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

According to the report, 18-year-old Mavryc Morgan of Sidney, driving a 2007 Chevy truck, crossed the centerline and struck a 2003 GMC truck, driven by Contreras.

The accident remains under investigation.
