(Council Bluffs) Council Bluffs Police say charges are pending regarding a hit-and-run injury accident.
On October 18, 2025, at approximately 6:57 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of North Broadway. The investigation revealed that a truck had rear-ended a motorcycle. The driver of the truck fled the scene but was located shortly afterward by responding officers. The driver is identified as 52-year-old Jason Lee Evans.
The juvenile operating the motorcycle, identified as a 17-year-old Hayden Baker of Council Bluffs, sustained critical injuries and was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
