(Pottawattamie Co.) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday signed a proclamation designating the month of October 2025 as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The proclamation emphasizes the importance of early detection through screenings, honors those affected by breast cancer—including patients, survivors, and those who have passed—and recognizes the efforts of researchers, medical professionals, advocates, and caregivers. It encourages individuals, organizations, and the community to participate in awareness activities, support those impacted, and promote early detection.
