(Creston) One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Union County.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at around 7:25 on Monday morning on Adams-Union Avenue and 150th Street. Authorities say 25-year-old Devan Lee DeHass of Creston suffered injuries in the accident.
According to the report, DeHass, driving a 2022 Jeep Compass south on Adams-Union Avenue, failed to see the stop sign at the intersection, due to the thick fog, and pulled into the path of a 2021 Chevy Silverado pickup traveling eastbound on 150th Street, driven by 33-year-old Katie Leslie Myers of Creston. The pickup struck the passenger side of the Jeep, causing it to enter the southeast corner of the intersection, rolling multiple times before striking a stack of round bales. The Jeep came to rest on its wheels. The pickup came to rest in the southeast ditch on wheels just east of the intersection.
Medic One transported DeHass to the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.
