(Creston) Creston Superintendent of Schools Deron Stender posted on the school’s website the following statement regarding an employee placed on administrative leave.
“I am writing to share an update regarding a personnel matter currently under review within the district. Please be assured that we are handling this situation with care, following all Board policies and applicable laws, and are working closely with our legal counsel throughout the process. As this is a confidential personnel issue, we are unable to share specific details. However, I can confirm that the employee involved has been placed on paid administrative leave while the review is ongoing.
“The safety, well-being, and success of our students remain our top priorities. We are fully committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students and families. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
In a previous message posted on the district’s page, Superintendent Stender acknowledged awareness of a recent social media post made by a school employee and stated that the post does not reflect the values, beliefs, or opinions of the district.
