(Undated) – COVID-19 is no longer in the top ten leading causes of death in the U.S.
According to Data from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics, the top three leading causes of death are now heart disease, cancer, and unintentional injury. Data found the death rate fell by three-point-eight-percent in 2024 which signals a decline to pre-pandemic levels.
Researchers suggest fewer COVID-19 deaths are likely driving the decline in the nation’s overall death rate.
