(Logan, IA) — Week two was another win but another injury for Logan Magnolia’s football team. After beating AHSTW and losing TE/DE Adam Roden, the Panthers beat Missouri Valley 31-0 but starting QB Ashton Peszulik is now out for at least week’s game and Head Coach Matt Straight is not sure how long he will be out. The job goes to Junior Brodie Davis who was 10-18 passing for 136 yards and 2 TD against the Big Reds. Straight says he will have to grow up in a hurry
Straight did have some good news — Senior Carson Edney had 5 catches for 97 yards and 2 TD against Missouri Valley is starting to get over his injury
With Edney back at 100 percent, that will help Davis in the passing game but Lo Ma had just 54 yards rushing against Mo Valley and 165 overall with Peszulik the leading rusher with 70 yards. Straight says they must do a better job of developing the running attack
Logan Magnolia will visit 1-1 St. Albert this Friday.
