(Atlantic) The KS95.7 Trojan Amour Insurance Athlete of the Week is junior tennis player Jacobi Harter. Harter played a significant role in Atlantic’s victories last week, contributing to a 7-2 win over Creston and an 8-1 win against Glenwood. She achieved a 2-0 record in singles and teamed up with Lily Willrich to go 2-0 in doubles.
Atlantic Head Coach Mike McDermott praised Harter for her consistency while playing in the #1 singles and #1 doubles positions last week.
Harter mentioned that their hard practice has led to improved performance in meets.
She attributes much of her success to her serving ability. In her first year, her serves barely cleared the net, but this year, she is achieving ace serves nearly half the time.
In doubles, Harter credits Willrich for a significant part of their success.
