(Iowa City, IA) — The Iowa Hawkeyes have released their football depth chart in advance of this Saturday’s opener against Albany. The most chaotic position seems to be running back where four players are listed and neither seem to be number one. Sophomore Kamari Moulton, sophomore Terrell Washington, Redshirt Freshman Xavier Williams and Junior Jazium Patterson will all be fighting for carries says Ferentz
There is still no clear starter at left offensive tackle — the candidates remain 312 pound Junior Jack Dotzler and 310 pound Sophomore Trevor Lauck and Ferentz says who the starter is changes day by day
One thing is clear on the depth chart — Senior Mark Gronowski is the starting quarterback and Ferentz expects him to manage the game and not try and do too much
Iowa will host the Great Danes of Albany, an FCS school that went 4-8 last season, kickoff Saturday is at 6 pm, it will be televised by Fox Sports One.
