(Atlantic) Atlantic took four of six singles matches, and two of three in doubles to defeat Denison-Schleswig 6-3 on Monday in a Hawkeye Ten Conference Ten match at Atlantic. Jacobi Harter, Lily Willrich, Shauna Anderson, and Aunika Darrow picked up wins in singles for the Trojans. Jacee Jepsen, and Ella Bahnsen earned wins for the Monarchs.
In doubles, Harter/Willrich teamed up for an 8-2 win at number #1. Dylin Ball/Taryn O’Brien playing at number #3 earned a victory 8-3. Olsen/Jepsen of Denison/Schleswig earned the win at number #2 doubles for the Monarchs.
Atlantic Head Coach Mike McDermott is impressed with the singles play.
Coach McDermott says the two Trojan doubles teams bounced back nicely after losses to Shenandoah on Monday.
Atlantic has the balance of the week open for practice. They will travel to Creston, and host Glenwood next week.
