(Griswold, IA) — Griswold’s football team will be looking at some turnover this season. Last year’s 3-6 squad graduated 11 seniors which is a lot for an 8 man team. Head Coach Seth Lembke was excited about the attendance in the weight room in the weight room this summer. Now, he is trying to figure out where each of the pieces fit. Lembke has made one decision — he has settled on Senior Wyatt Silk as his starting quarterback replacing the graduated Bode Wyman
Ironically Lembke is trying to figure out the starters where he has the most experience. The offensive and defensive lines are not settled by any means but Lembke has options
Griswold will be in 8 Man District 9 with Ar-We-Va, Audubon, CAM, Coon Rapids Bayard, Exira EHK, and Glidden Ralston but the season will start early with a Week Zero game against East Mills. That has pushed everything up so Lembke has a lot of work to do in a short amount of time
Again, Griswold opens against the East Mills Wolverines who were 5-4 last season.
