(Lincoln, NE) — The Huskers are going into the 2025-26 football season with just one senior on their defensive line in Elijah Jeudy, but coordinator John Butler thinks the line is only going to get better:
Butler is in his first full season at defensive coordinator after being promoted just before last year’s Pinstripe Bowl, where Nebraska beat Boston College 20-15. He was previously the team’s secondary coach and pass game coordinator. Butler was quick to say that the team is not focused on any narratives about them:
Butler is also proud of his linebacker depth and says they have good energy:
The Cornhuskers open the season against the Cincinnati Bearcats on August 28th in the first ever Kansas City Classic, kick-off is set for 8:00P.M.
