(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors are now starting to address the needs of Emergency Medical Services in the county on the heels of the EMS measure that failed in November.
It has been 9 months since voters in the county voted against a tax fund for EMS in Guthrie County and to declare EMS an essential service. However, Board Chair Maggie Armstrong said at Tuesday’s meeting that the supervisors must declare it an essential service in order to address it moving forward
Supervisors Steve Smith, JD Kuster, and Brian Johnson all want to proceed as soon as possible with the EMS issue
