(Warren County) One person died, and another suffered injuries in a single-vehicle Crash in Warren County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 3:37 p.m. on Saturday, on Highway 5, and 200th Avenue. Authorities say 16-year-old Donald O’Neil McCormick II, of Pleasantville, Iowa died in the crash. Officials identified the injured person as 16-year-old Isabella Rae Ashford, of Pleasantville.
According to the report, Isabella Ashford was driving an eastbound 2007 Ford Focus on Highway 5, when the car left the roadway near 200th Avenue. Ashford overcorrected, and lost control of the vehicle that slid sideways into the ditch rolling at least one time before coming to rest on the driver’s side.
Donald O’Neil McCormick II, a passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene. Warren County Medical transported McCormick to the State Medical Examiner’s Office. Hartford ambulance transported Ashford to Blank’s Children’s Hospital in Des Moines.
