(Exira, IA) — With the baseball season over, Alex Hansen has finished his high school athletic career and in less than a month he will be reporting to Simpson College in Indianola, IA to start the next phase of his life — playing college football for the Storm.
Hansen did not ask for any signing ceremony and did not release anything on X, he just simply found a home at Simpson and the process started last fall
Hansen played running back and linebacker for Exira EHK but he will play exclusively on the defensive side for the Storm — that suits him just fine because he loves to tackle, loves to hit, he led the Spartans in tackles with 71 and 10 tackles for a loss. He says he will have to make some adjustments when he suits up in college
Hansen remembers loving football early on in his childhood
Hansen will report to Simpson on August 13 for fall camp — he expects a lot of running and a lot of learning. He is excited and nervous to play football at the next level and he leaves plenty of memories with the Spartans particularly the 2024 team which was his Junior season
Hansen says he plans on majoring in physical therapy at Simpson College.
