(Council Bluffs) – The Friends of Westfair Committee has announced a significant boost to its Capital Campaign with a $100,000 gift from the Community Foundation for Western Iowa. The contribution supports ongoing efforts to modernize and enhance the 80-acre Westfair fairgrounds and amphitheater.
The Community Foundation has been a key supporter of the campaign from the beginning, helping to shape the long-term vision for the regional venue.
“We are incredibly honored to support this transformational project,” said Donna Dostal, President and CEO of the Community Foundation for Western Iowa. “Westfair has such a rich impact on our region, and this vision paints a picture of Westfair as a vibrant tourism destination and economic driver for years to come. It’s especially meaningful to support a project that touches all of Southwest Iowa and the surrounding communities the Foundation is proud to serve.”
The donation will be formally recognized during the Spirit of Westfair Dinner, scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, in the Commercial Building at the Westfair Grounds. The event will celebrate Westfair’s legacy and future with an evening dedicated to honoring its impact on the region.
