(Griswold, IA) — Underwood had a big win over AHSTW in the first round of the Class 2A Region 6 playoffs and now the road gets tougher as the Eagles visit Griswold-CAM, coverage on KS 95.7 FM.
Underwood is 9-22 beating the Lady Vikes 5-3 thanks to some terrific defense and a 3 run third inning highlighted by a 2 run double from Alissa Fischer. Underwood starts four 8th graders in the line up — one of them is Brooklyn Drake who only got her 7th hit of the season against AHSTW and she was part of great double play with Mary Stephens and Adrian Trede. Griswold-CAM is 24-5 and have a tight group of four seniors — Marissa Askeland, Addison Adams, Abby Gohlinghorst, and Joanna Reynolds who will try to lead the Tigers through the regional playoffs. Head Coach Jody Rossell
Griswold had a first round bye so Rossell saw the Underwood AHSTW team and knows that the Eagles are a different club from what they saw the first time around
