(Red Oak) A Red Oak woman faces charges following a foot pursuit.
Police say that at around 4:00 p.m., Officers from the Red Oak Police Department were dispatched to the area of Broadway and Coolbaugh Street for a report of a female throwing objects into the roadway and at passing vehicles.
Arriving Officers observed the female, identified as Heidi Ann Divis, acting erratically near Broadway and Hammond Street. Officers instructed Heidi to come to their location and get off the street. She refused and fled on foot.
A brief foot pursuit ensued, and at one point, Divis attempted to enter an occupied vehicle stopped at a traffic light, the driver ordered her to leave, and tried to enter a residence through the back door. Officers intervened and gave repeated lawful commands, which she ignored. Officers then physically removed her from the property and placed her under arrest.
Authorities transported Divis to the Montgomery County Jail, where she continued to resist and had to be physically placed into a holding cell by officers.
Authorities arrested Divis for interference with official acts. She is held on a $300.00 bond.
