(Elk Horn) Elk Horn City Officials reported on Wednesday that due to a loss of pressure within the city’s water line, a boil advisory has been declared effective until further notice.
City staff say the loss of pressure is due to a water main break, prompting the City of Elk Horn to issue a Boil Water Advisory for residents and businesses within the City.
Until further notice, all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled for at least one (1) minute and allowed to cool before use. Alternatively, you may use bottled water. Washing dishes with soap eliminates the need to boil water first.
This advisory is a precaution. We will notify you as soon as it is safe to resume everyday water use. We are working diligently to resolve the issue and restore full water safety.
