(CAM) The CAM School Board accepted the School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC) recommendations at Monday’s school board meeting.
School Board Vice President Chuck Kinzie said a couple of recommendations really resonated with him. One in particular involved creating an onboarding program for administration and staff.
Another item concerned the truancy laws—specifically, ensuring they are being interpreted correctly and that a proper plan is in place with the new administration to guarantee the district is complying with state legislation. Kinzie said that in future sessions, the board will work to do its part and exercise due diligence to ensure proper plans are established in both areas.
Kinizie said the board also thanked outgoing Superintendent Paul Croghan and High School Principal Barry Bower.
Shannon Almelien will assume the role of Junior/Senior High School Principal. Pam Stangeland has been hired as the shared Superintendent for the CAM and Nodaway Valley School Districts.
